The Prosecco

Prosecco has a history of over three hundred years, which started in the area of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, northern Italy.

It is an ancient wine and, at the same time, modern, that comes from a close relationship between wine and the territory. A very hilly territory, with a landscape characterized by steep slopes alternating with gentle ones here and there spotted by small vineyards.

The vocation of the territory, together with the ability of man, has made it possible since from 1969 to get the Controlled Denomination of Origin for the Prosecco di Conegliano Valdobbiadene. With the harvest of 2009 the acronym DOCG has been officially introduced, and ended the path that recognizes the wine of Conegliano Valdobbiadene as the best expression for Prosecco. For this reason, the DOCG Prosecco word is accompanied by the adjective “Superior“.

The DOCG, Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin, is within the classification system Italian wines of higher quality. Just think about it, in Italy, there are now more than 300 DOC but only about 40 DOCG.

Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG follows strict rules of production. From the vineyard to the bottle, and before the placing on the market, a third party certification body carries out constant checks on the product to ensure the consumer. Each bottle is sealed with a band of state, numbered and traceable at all times, bearing the logo of the name. The band is a further guarantee of quality that only DOCG wines can offer.

Our Prosecco is produced 100% from grapes of the vine Glera.
